Weight Reduction begins with understanding your body. The human body is a perfect combination of systems that perform work, release assisting hormones/enzymes, eliminate waste/toxins and a daily repair mechanism for survival. Food and water requirements of the human body has not evolved much past the Paleolithic Diet.
Please notice also that I speak of "weight reduction" not "weight loss". As a certified hypnotist, I work with clients for the reduction of weight and I help client find things they have "lost". If you continue to use the words "loss" or "lost" you will eventually "find" your weight.
Autumn Tips and Hints
Hint #1 Focus This is the time of year to focus on your environment. Your home, your office, the grounds surrounding your house and your inner self. This is the perfect time to get your life in order. This is the time of "the giveaway". Take time to purge clothing or items that you do not use. A rule of purging excess is if you haven't touched the item in six months -- give it away. This helps lighten your living environment. A Feng Shui concept is that energy moves more freely through an uncluttered space. This will be important when Winter arrives and energy slows down.
Hint #2 Reflect Autumn is the season of reflection. It prepares us for Winter, the season of contemplation in which we examine our very souls. It is a natural time of decay and rot that many people fear and meet with anxiety. This season reminds them of their own mortality and frailness. Please remember the decay of Autumn and the emptiness of Winter do not last forever. The decay and rot of Autumn act as food for Spring's new life. Winter gives time to all living things to prepare for yet another explosion of life. Allow yourself to appreciate the slower, calmer energy surrounding you. Allow yourself to withdraw from hectic schedules. Relax. Begin to make space within yourself. Release. Quiet your emotions. Let go of emotions that do not serve you.
Hint #3 Cleanse. This is the time to conduct a simple detox cleanse, exfoliate your skin and adapt your diet to help the body purge excess. In doing this, you give your body a chance to strengthen before Winter. By getting rid of accumulated toxins and waste, you will signal your body it is time to "let go." This is a very natural process for the body. It promotes clear-thinking, and helps to purge thoughts, living patterns or emotions that are not useful. If you take the time to cleanse yourself of things that no longer serve you, you will have ample energy throughout the Winter. You will not feel depressed, fatigued or melancholy. We waste a tremendous amount of energy when we continue to re-cycle through old physical and mental patterns that are not useful to us. This is energy you could find useful in the months of January and February.
