We have named our spa, Ataraxia. Ancient Greek culture believed "ataraxia" was the calm that came from or the calm that followed total confusion. We enjoy creating for you the calm that this ancient civilization knew.
All spa services are 60 minutes with the notation of "approximately". This allows the therapist to work with various product applications.
We like to leave time for your rest and relaxation following the session. This makes your time in Ataraxia enjoyable, comfortable, relaxing and also rejuvenating.

Candlelight Massage
An indulging atmosphere full of aromatherapy and candlelight creates the tone of the session at our spa in the Pittsburgh area. Careful consideration is given to every detail to ensure you are relaxed and comfortable. Swedish massage techniques are used to soothe muscles and encourage relaxation. Light myofascial techniques release the neck and shoulders. Your entire massage session is for the promotion of your wellness through relaxing and releasing tension. If your life needs to take a different direction, this candlelight massage therapy session will start the journey.

Herbal Wraps
Cleanse your body naturally with our relaxing herbal wraps. Enjoy the warmth and aromas of our herbal blends with fine Egyptian linen. Herbal blends for relaxation, rejuvenation or detoxification of the mind, body and spirit are available. You can enjoy a gentle, relaxing massage for your feet, hands, scalp and face while the herbal linens promote detoxification. These are great to use as a seasonal cleanse.

Ocean Bath
The client is gently exfoliated with Ahava liquid salt mixture. The skin is cleared with healing Abano rinse and “brushed” with terry towels. An amino-protein application with Aroma-sol oils is massaged into the skin. This session includes massage with particular attention given to areas of stress, such as the feet, neck shoulders and upper back. This session leaves your skin silky smooth, your body relaxed and your mind care-free.

Top to Bottom
This session combines many massage techniques and spa applications to promote wellness and relaxation. Scalp therapy, foot reflexology, neck and shoulder releases along with Swedish massage make this a wonderful "make the world go away” session. Each session is customized to the client's preferences when choosing applications, massage techniques and aromatherapy. Cranio-sacral work is offered to enhance your relaxation and release of anxiety.

Cancellation Policy: Please notify within 48 hours should you need to cancel your appointment or re-schedule to avoid a 50% charge for the service. Full service fees will be charged if notification is not given and appointment is not kept.
All spa sessions are approximately one hour in length. Session times can vary in accordance to the number of product applications used throughout the session.
