Beverly Leopold, CMT, COHC, CBAT

Beverly Leopold is certified by the American Massage Therapist Association and the American Bodywork and Massage Professionals. She achieved this designation after adhering to specific standards of eligibility and training, which include passing comprehensive written and practical examinations, followed by continuing education.

She has owned and operated medica...the healing arts in Gibsonia, PA since 1993. This has allowed her to practice massage therapy involving several different styles and client needs. In continuing her education in this field, she has become certified in Shiatsu, spa treatments, facial massage and LaStone© Therapy. She is a Reiki Master Practitioner and is obtaining her Naturopathic license to further assist her clients in the use of alternative or complementary therapies.

Beverly conducts workshops on alternative therapies. She is a speaker for Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield facilities throughout Pittsburgh as well as other various civic and professional associations.

Brian Speakman, CMT

Independent contractor, part time. Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Ear Candling, Reiki.

It seems appropriate that Brian is working at medica...the healing arts where he received his first massage over seven years ago.

He received his massage certification through Career Training Academy while working full time at Vision Quest in Franklin, Pa. He then offered therapy to families by traveling to their homes.

Brian is a native of Hampton Township and attended college at Pitt-Johnstown and Penn State obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. He worked at Vision Quest after graduating in 1999.  This facility helps young people overcome difficult times in their lives by introducing them to some extraordinary experiences and broadening their self awareness. Currently, Brian works as a Behavioral Health Consultant for Milestone Inc., a private, nonprofit, community-based human services mental health and mental retardation agency serving the needs of communities and residents in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Now he brings the same passion for helping people to the realm of massage therapy.  Massage therapy is not only an opportunity to care for a body full of aches and pains, but also to care for the person that is experiencing those pains.

Amber Baker, AMBT

Independent contractor, part time. Massage Therapy, Soul Memory, Kundalini yoga.

I have been a practicing certified massage therapist for 8yrs. I became certified by taking courses with a private instructor through the Nuin Center, a cooperative center for holistic therapies and the healing arts in Highland Park where all the courses were approved through the national organization American Bodyworks and Massage Professionals.

In my practice I work with the systems of each individual as well each person’s own healing capabilities to gently release any and all impediments to physical, emotional, and mental calm within each person. I combine several techniques including Swedish, cranial sacral, deep tissue, acupressure and reiki to ensure that each client’s unique needs are addressed and met during each session.

Along with my massage practice, I also bring my knowledge of the art and practice of Kundalini yoga. As a registered Kundalini yoga teacher, I incorporate the breathing techniques, postures and stretches into my practice as well as teaching individual classes and doing private one- on one- instruction of this unique and ancient form of yoga.

This form of yoga utilizes the breath, sound and repetitions in movement to enhance the mind- body connection as opposed to holding difficult postures and stretches. Each combination of breath, sound and movement is called a kriya and each creates a unique pathway to your highest potential. There are an infinite number of kriyas that can be done, and with them an infinite number of ways to empower each of you to consciously enhance your own well-being in simple ways each day!
